Understable discs do not automatically fly farther. They do not fix bad form, and they are not all easy to throw. One practical way to understand stability is to watch three discs respond to the same throw.
On a calm day, take:
- one understable disc

Throw all three from the same spot with the same comfortable effort. Do not try to force identical results. Watch for three things:
- Which disc stays forward the longest?
- Which disc fades before it has carried down the fairway?
